The Cal High Robotics team is involved in a number of Community Projects. With a focus on robotics, Team 1516 has organized public events where we show case our robots to the community, and encourage kids to get a hands-on feel of our robots.

We travel to many elementary and middle schools in the Bay Area to help mentor kids and promote the LEGO and FIRST Robotics vision to younger students while promoting an interest in engineering. Included in our community outreach efforts is the organization of local mini-competitions like Soccer-Bot at Cal High, and our volunteer efforts to help with the FIRST LEGO League competitions in California.

We enlist volunteers to share their knowledge and expertise, and raise funds in the form of donations, from members of our local community.
